EXCEL for Small Businesses and Community Groups
Bookings are now open for the next set of courses with KPT Development Trust, which are led by our Excel Tutor, Rob Jarvis.
Who can attend? The courses are open to anyone who wants to use Excel more effectively for their business or local community group. We recommend a basic familiarity with Excel (or other Spreadsheet software)
Where is the course? We are currently running course in the KPT Office in Penpont, with careful social distancing and cleaning measures in place. There is an option to join by Zoom.
How long is the training? You will sign up for 6 hours, split into 3 x 2hr sessions
What are the dates? We will arrange suitable dates and times when you sign up for the course. The first sessions will be running from September.
How many people can attend? Because of the current situation, we are limiting places to just 4 per course in a large space.
What does it cost? The courses are fully funded thanks to Dumfries and Galloway Council funding. There is no cost to participants.
Course Outline:
This course is aimed at people who want to become more efficient at using Excel to help manage their local business or community group. Topics include:
- Fundamentals of good spreadsheet use – “Am I doing this the right way?”
- Tracking: routine and accurate recording offigures and details
- Introduction to Analysis with Excel: “how do I work out how much / many / often …?”
- Using Excel for simple Accounts reporting
